Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military & veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital.
These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world.
Fisher Houses have up to 20 suites, with private bedrooms and baths. Families share a common kitchen, laundry facilities, a warm dining room, and an inviting living room.
Since 2016, VFW Post 1123 has been providing meals to the Fisher House.
On the 3rd Tuesday of every month, A Post Member volunteers to purchase the meals and deliver them, then is reimbursed.
VFW Post 1123 budgets $2,400 annually ($200/month) to provide these meals.
At the end of each year, all budgeted funds that were not spent are donated to the Fisher House.

VFW Post 1123 has a Donation Bin available at the Vallejo Veterans Memorial Building during monthly Meetings and Dinner Socials.
